The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the burglary of 2223 North College (Stop-N-Go). If you have information on this crime you are encouraged to contact an investigator with the information. You may remain anonymous and your information will be kept confidential. 870-881-4810.

On January 23, 2008 at approximately 0000 hrs.
officers received a call from dispatch to a burglary alarm at 2223 North College
(Stop-N-Go). While en-route dispatch advised that the motion was from the
office area and glass breakage. Upon my arrival I noticed the front door to be
shattered out. I also noticed that the inside of the business had the vent on
the ceiling was laying on the ground. After officers cleared the business of
any suspects or victims I noticed that a change operating game had been broken
and a lot of the change was missing. I then looked at the vent on the ceiling
and noticed that I could see the sky through the vent. I then noticed several
packs of cigarettes laying throughout the store. I also saw a Marlboro
cigarette pack laying just outside the front door that was broken.
All the broken glass from the door was on the outside of the business. As
I was processing the scene *** arrived on scene. *** told me that he did have
surveillance on the building. At that time I watched the tape. On the tape I
noticed a subject come in the business from the roof wearing brown coveralls and
a blue toboggan. When the subject entered the business he first went behind the
counter and started grabbing cigarettes. As he was doing this I noticed that
the subject was a white male. I then observed the subject break into the change
operating game with what appeared to be a crow bar. After that the subject went
towards the back of the store. As he was doing all of this he had grabbed a
trash can emptied it and was putting all the items into it. The subject then
came back into front of the store towards the front door. It looked like the
subject attempted to pry the door open first, but was unable to do so. He then
broke the door and exited the store.
*** told me that about 8 cartons of Newport cigarettes, 8 cartons of Monarch
cigarettes, about 60 packs of assorted Marlboro cigarettes, about 36 packs of
assorted Monarch cigarettes, and about $200.00 worth of quarters were missing.
I also went to the roof of the business to see how he gained entry into the
store. I noticed on the side of the vent there was a piece of metal pried up
from the vent.
^^^ was called on scene to fix the broken door. They advised it would cost
approximately $600.00 to repair the door.
Several fingerprints and photos were taken of the scene and from the
scene. The video was also collected as evidence.
