Criminal Apprehension Division (Narcotics)

C.A.D (Criminal Apprehension Division) is a division of the El Dorado Police Department which is comprised of officers from the El Dorado Police Department, Union County Sheriff’s Office and the 13th Judicial Drug Task Force.  These Officers work closely with surrounding local jurisdictions as well as Federal Agencies to combat the distribution of illegal narcotics.  On the local level “CAD” Officers are members of the 13th Judicial Drug Task Force which includes 6 Arkansas Counties.  The counties are:  Union, Columbia, Ouachita, Calhoun, Dallas, and Cleveland.  Members are also part of an FBI task force which serves the Western District of Arkansas.  Using a multi-jurisdictional approach maximizes effectiveness by bringing the resources as well as the expertise of each agency to confront the ever increasing problems caused by illegal narcotics.
